Executive Director
Welcome to Gulf Coast Community Ministries!
We are thankful that you've taken time to find out more about our programs. Gulf Coast Community Ministries began as a desire of church members to reach out to the community. Like so many faith-based organizations, we have worked hard to meet needs in the community, founded on compassion and grace. Even though Hurricane Katrina destroyed the church buildings in 2005, our new start in June 2007 at 1814 Pass Road in Gulfport has allowed us to blossom and grow into a viable ministry. We are blessed to have many partner churches and agencies along the Gulf Coast.
The volunteers of Gulf Coast Community Ministries are the heart of the organization. From the food pantry baggers, receptionists and counselors to the medical clinic physicians and nurses, each volunteer brings their own special gifts, talents and interests to meet needs in the community. The Board of Directors are volunteers who provide great leadership to Gulf Coast Community Ministries.
The most important aspect of the ministry is the difference we make in the lives of others. I often hear "I just don't know what I would have done without you. The food you provided kept my family from being hungry, and the medical care kept me from missing work because I was sick." As a result of a struggling economy, many individuals are seeking assistance for the first time. It is always our goal to provide needed help with respect and encouragement.
